Desert Dogs trainers, Brittany Robinson and Anthony Holcomb, are certified in 12 different areas of training. Whether you're looking for basic on-leash control or something more advanced, Desert Dogs is here to help. A free evaluation is the first step in training. During this evaluation we will get to know you and your dog, learn what you hope to accomplish, and discuss what the best type of training will be to meet your needs. We tailor all training to the specific needs of each client and their dog(s). All training is taught verbally, as well as with hand signals.
Just like real life, there is no one way of doing things. Every dog has its own unique personality and their own way of going about it. Therefore, our training will be tailored to meet your dogs specific attitude and personality. Finding the perfect balance between praise, motivation and correction we can train your dog to do anything it is physically and mentally capable of doing! Being fair and consistent with your canine companion will open a line of communication between the two of you that will truely make your experiences together great! Everything with your dog(s) will become black and white, yes and no. There will be no room for confusion!

Desert Dogs will also help you learn how to read your dog and the signals he will give. Being able to read your dogs behaviors will allow you to know what your dog is thinking and how to react. Just like people, dogs will communicate with almost every part of their body, from their faces to their tails to their eyes. Dogs watch posture, tail position, movement, facial expressions, eye contact and smell. They observe these things and react. Many problems that occur will happen because of a communication error between people and dogs.
