Our integrative training technique utilizes a variety of training tools that address all the behaviors a dog exhibits. By finding a balance that is unique to each individual dog through positive reinforcement, motivation and correction we can customize a training plan that will deliver the best results possible. We address every behavior with a combination of positive reinforcement and proper feedback to give the dog every possible opportunity to learn. Positive reinforcement may include physical and verbal praise, toys, or treats to motivate and reward the dog by helping to guide him through situations in which he is learning, unsure or confused. Corrections are used to redirect the dog's attention back to the handler and provide additional feedback to give him a clear picture of what is expected.
We train with one goal in mind; to help you create your perfect canine partner. We offer many areas of training to help fit the training you have envisioned. We train in private, board-n-train and group settings to best maximize training succcess.
The first step of training is to set up a free evaluation. During the evaulation, We will discuss your goals for training, the issues you are encountering and the best style of training to meet your needs. All training is tailored to meet your specific needs. Desert Dogs does not offer a "one size fis all" training program.
